BCRT Update on 5/31 for Needham Residents

By Tad Staley - Posted on 26 May 2011

BCRT organizers in Needham are holding an open public meeting on Wednesday, May 11th at the Broadmeadow School (120 Broad Meadow Road in Needham) at 7:30. All are welcome, especially Needham residents!

The agenda includes updates on the rail trail progress, including the exciting new developments that could lead to an unpaved trail in a much shorter time frame.

At this point, we're looking for ways to get more Needham people involved and supportive of the project. Specifically, as the plan for the unpaved version of the path comes together, we'll need local supporters that will help determine issues related to maintenance, policies, marketing, landscaping, and coordination with the town. These are issues that must be anticipated before the town will approve the lease and rail removal.

Hope to see you there on the 31st!
